Cedar is a softwood.
Compare the project requirements.
Cedar is botanically a softwood. When a project calls for the density or grain of hardwood, compare cedar with thermally modified options such as Thermo Ash and Thermo Ayous using the exact application, profile, stability, finish and maintenance plan.
Thermally modified hardwood species
Compare exact Maximo profiles and cataloged applications rather than relying on the word “hardwood” as a universal performance claim.
Thermally modified softwood options
Thermal modification is a process category, not a hardwood category. These species provide other grain, weight and profile choices.
